Hyderabad: 55% of GITAM students already placed in 30 top companies
The mood is upbeat in GITAM Deemed-to-be University, Hyderabad since the initial phase of the campus placement programme as most of the B Tech students of 2019-20 graduating batch from Schools of Technology have already bagged job offers even before 7th Semester.
Hyderabad: The mood is upbeat in GITAM Deemed-to-be University, Hyderabad since the initial phase of the campus placement programme as most of the B Tech students of 2019-20 graduating batch from Schools of Technology have already bagged job offers even before 7th Semester. The placement season started with a bang and till date 30 top-notch companies have rolled out job offers for eligible B Tech students. In absolute sense, 55 percent of students have already been placed, over 50 of them bagging multiple offers. The number of placed students is set to rise as some of the companies that participated in the campus recruitment process are yet to declare results.
Tata Consultancy Services Limited (Indian multinational information technology service and consulting company) was the top recruiter with 136 job offers, followed by Mu Sigma with 34 offers (Management consulting company) an impressive annual package of Rs.21 lakhs for three years, NTT Data Corporation (Japanese system integration company) with 34, Virtusa Corporation with 29 (Information technology company), Zensar Technologies with 27 (software and services company), Mindtree with 25 (an Indian multinational information technology and outsourcing company), ValueMomentum with 25 (Software & Services company), TA Digital with 9 (an innovative digital transformation agency) and ValueLabs with 3 job offers (IT service management company) at a package of Rs 16.5 lakhs for three years.
The strong industry-academia linkages to GITAM, its quality of students and faculty as also the high industry relevance of its professional courses have helped it to emerge as a top draw among some of the biggest corporate names from across the globe.
