5K Run organised for environmental awareness

Hyderabad: Fascino conducted 5k run along with Youth for Anti- Corruption about 'clean and green Hyderabad' and 'say no plastic'. The motto is the importance of cleanliness in our lives which cannot be denied. Maintaining a clean environment is for the health of all humans, as their health completely depends upon the atmosphere. A bad environment is solely responsible for spoiling the health of the people around.

Plastic takes 1000 years to decompose into smaller pieces, which seeps into the soil and releases chemicals, which eventually reach the water supply. It kills animals in the water when they eat plastic bags thinking they are jellyfish. Plastic builds up in landfills. Manufacturing of plastic bags is harmful to the environment because non- renewable resources are used (petroleum and natural gas). The manufacturing process itself uses toxic chemicals, pollutes the atmosphere and consumes energy.
