Hyderabad: Telugu Academy organised an awareness programme on Civil Services examination on Tuesday. A. Satyanarayana Reddy, Director, Telugu Academy and Dr. P.V. Lakshmaiah, Honorary Chairman, Dr. Lakshmaiah IAS Study Circle released three Anthropology books written in Telugu by Dr. A. Ashok IAS, Commissioner, Board of Intermediate, Telangana, and Dr. P.V. Lakshmaiah, Convener, Gazette Officers Association.

Dr. Mohan Kanda, in his address to the audience, spoke about the significance of civil services and on the other hand encouraged youngsters to take up the challenging job as civil servant. In his speech he spoke in detail on planning and execution of the civils preparations. Dr. P.V. Lakshmaiah, using different instances, spoke on importance of Anthropology as optional in the civil services, the continued efforts put by in the completion of the Anthropology books in Telugu.

Moreover, he emphasised on Civils by citing various interesting examples. In addition, he said that degree with civils plus course that has been started can enable students to get to Civil jobs by the time they complete 22 years.

Sri. A. Satyanarayana Reddy, Director, Telugu Academi, said that Dr. Lakshmaiah share a special relation with Telugu Academi and they have published 19 Anthropology books. As the programme progressed, three students who attained All India Ranks were felicitated. Gundala Reedy Raghavendra (180), Polumati Sharanya (582), K. Shashikanth (695) and later as a token of respect, the parents of the rankers did felicitate Dr. P.V. Lakshmaiah, and Para Padmaja Rani, Director, Dr. Lakshmaiah IAS Study Circle.

As a part of the Civils coaching programme, Dr. Lakshmaiah IAS Study Circle, has taken the initiative to run Degree with Civil plus program in Hyderabad, Tirupati, Vijayawada, and Dehradun.
