Restore sports quota soon

On the one hand the Telangana government is encouraging sports at all levels and on the other hand it is yet to come out with a comprehensive government order with respect to sports quota as a result of which students seeking admissions into various courses are at a great disadvantage as the admissions are about to begin for various courses in polytechnics, engineering colleges and medical colleges.
Because of the fiasco in medical college admissions through sports quota last year, the government was nevertheless permitted by the High Court to come out with a new government order duly specifying a new set of rules.
As of now, the options for online admissions would not display seats reserved for sports quota. It is strongly urged that sports enthusiasts who are good in studies also should not be deprived of their legitimate demand for sports reservation for various courses offered in government and private colleges.
I appeal to the government to come out with a GO duly facilitating filling up of seats exclusively in sports quota. The earlier, the government does this, the greater will be the relief for all sports lovers.
