General Manager, Northern Railway inspects rail section of Delhi Division
General Manager, Northern Railway T P Singh conducted an extensive inspection of Delhi Cantt.-Rewari-Jhajjar-Asthal Bohar Rail section on Friday.
New Delhi: General Manager, Northern Railway T P Singh conducted an extensive inspection of Delhi Cantt.-Rewari-Jhajjar-Asthal Bohar Rail section on Friday. He was accompanied by S. C. Jain, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Northern Railway, Delhi, Principal Head of Departments of Northern Railway & Senior Divisional Officers of Delhi Division.
T.P. Singh, General Manager inspected the Booking office and circulating area at Delhi Cantt Railway Station. He also inspected a newly developed Smart Coach. He also inspected a Health ATM installed recently at the station. He also inspected the Nursery in the circulating area. A Nukkad Natak was also organised at Delhi Cantt. Railway Station.
Going over the station premises at the next halting station i.e. Gurgaon, the General Manager inspected amenities at the station. He inspected the CCTV monitoring system provided at the station to enhance security. 30 CCTV cameras have been installed recently at Gurgaon railway station. GM inspected the railway quarters at Gurgaon.
On his departure from Gurgaon, the GM inspected Bridge no. 61 on Gurgaon-Garhi Harsaru Rail Section. At the next halt, he inspected Garhi Harsaru Railway Station and the recently developed Green Patch. On his departure from Garhi Harsaru he inspected Level Crossing no. 33 on Garhi Harsaru-Pataudi Road Rail Section He tested the proficiency of the Gateman regarding various safety rules followed at the Level Crossing. He also inspected the new Limited Height Subway work site. He inspected and interacted with the Gangmen. Tree plantation was also organised.
At the next halting station Pataudi Road the General Manager inspected the new Limited Height Subway worksite. He also inspected Turnouts & Switch Expansion Joint at this location. GM visited the exhibition put up displaying various small track machines used for track maintenance. On his departure from Pataudi Road he inaugurated Intermediate Block Signalling and inspected the new Limited Height Subway worksite at Level Crossing No.55 on Pataudi Road-Rewari Rail Section.
T. P. Singh Inspected Steam Loco Shed at Rewari. Tree plantation was also done at the shed. He also inspected the Steam Engines and himself took first hand experience of the working of a Steam locomotive.
On the onward inspection from Rewari a successful speed trial @ 110 kmph was conducted upto Jhajjar Railway Station and further from Jhajjar to Asthal Bohar.
At the next halting station Jhajjar, the General Manager undertook an inspection of station premises. He inspected the newly developed park and nursery at the Station. He also visited the new Passenger Reservation System provided at the station. He also inspected gang tool box cum rest shelter, on departure from Jhajjar and inspected curve, Level Crossing no.37 and Sectioning post on Jhajjar-Asthal Bohar Rail Section.
The General Manager met members of the press and media enroute and briefed them on the progress of various rail projects in the region. He also met members of Railway Unions and associations. He also interacted with representatives of Dainik Yatri Sanghs and rail passengers at various stations.
