MLA Madhavaram Kantha Rao praises CM KCR as a messiah of the poor
Kukatpally: Local MLA Madhavaram Kantha Rao on Tuesday praised Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao as a messiah of the poor, "acting like their father and brother" by contributing to their welfare through the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes.
He was speaking after giving away the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak cheques to 137 beneficiaries of the constituency. Rao lauded the TRS government's scheme of providing Rs.100,116 each as assistance for performing marriages of poor women, the first of its kind initiative in the country. He thanked KCR on behalf of the poor for introducing the two novel schemes in the State.
