904 farmers take crop loans from banks

The DAO informed the meeting that 904 farmers had so far taken crop loans from banks. The premia to be paid by farmers are Rs 680 (paddy) and Rs 500 (maize).
The Collector advised the lead bank manager to secure details of the loans disbursed by banks. He said Bajaj Company had paid Rs 2.25 lakh to 160 farmers who suffered losses in 2017 Rabi. The company would make public on Wednesday the amount paid to each farmer.
