Narayankhed: Property disputes claimed two lives at Nagallidha mandal. Venkat Reddy from Karas Guthi village married Kavitha 6 years back and had a son Dinesh Reddy.
Being habituated to alcohol, Venkat Reddy used to hit Kavitha regularly for property. As Kavitha was stopping him from selling their 4-acre land, in a fit of rage, he poured kerosene over her and set her ablaze.
Dinesh Reddy who saw this was also murdered by his father in the same process. Later, Venkat Reddy tried to make it look as though they committed suicide. Police started investigation and unraveled the truth after Kavitha's brother Hanuma Reddy filed a complaint, alleging the complicity of Venkat Reddy.
