Awareness session on autism held

An awareness session on Autism Spectrum Disorder, which is also referred as autism, was held here at police headquarters on Thursday.
Amberpet: An awareness session on Autism Spectrum Disorder, which is also referred as autism, was held here at police headquarters on Thursday. The session was held by Dr Samrat Johnson based on the instructions of Rachakonda CP Mahesh Bhagavat for police staff.
Speaking at the awareness session, Dr Samrat Johnson explained about the disease and how it can be identified. He said that kids with autism disorder can be restored to normal condition if the disease is identified at early stage and treated.
He said that the disorder is found mostly among six-year old kids. She urged parents to take their children for medical tests if they observe any behaviourial changes in their children and consult doctor for further treatment.
