Basheerbagh: The Welfare Party of India has claimed that the Supreme Court's Ayodhya case ruling was in favour of one community. Dr Q R Iliyaz, national president, and general secretary Seeman, told the media that the apex court's verdict was in favour of 'majority' of the prevailing Hindu Samaj and "as per the desire of people." At the same time, the two leaders stated that the party was respecting the court order, since there was a scope for filing a review petition.

They opposed the move to allot five acres to Muslims. They alleged that the BJP government would in the coming days seek to establish a 'Hindu Rashtra'. They objected to the plan to usher in a 'Hindu Desh' and said the party was strongly opposed to it.

The leaders claimed that the Welfare Party was a secular organisation. Among those present at the press conference were Telangana State president Kamal Athar, secretary Mohd Vaseem and official representative Vasulla Saheb.
