Kukatpally: The BJP leaders and activists, led by Medchal district unit president Madhavaram Kantha Rao, on Monday took out a rally in support of the striking RTC employees from Prashanthnagar to the Kukatpally depot. They held a meeting at to condole the deaths of the RTC staff during the last two days.

Rao garlanded the portrait of the deceased staffers and paid homage to them. Addressing the gathering, he advised the RTC employees to boldly move ahead without any regret. He appealed to the staff not to resort to extreme acts like suicides, while decrying the government failure to take any decision on resolving the crisis and invite trade unions for discussions.

This, Rao pointed out, indicated the government's 'vengeful attitude' towards the strikers'. The BJP leader asserted that the government would be forced to concede the demands of the RTC employees. He recalled the state BJP president Dr K Laxman's stand that there should be agitation until the government accepted the demands. G Srikar Rao, Vinod Kumar and other activists were present.
