Bodrai re-installation ceremony conducted

The re-installation ceremony of ‘Bodrai’(Central Stone) in the Chilkur village was held on a grand scale here on Thursday. Nine types of grains (Nava Dhanyalu), pearls, gems, turmeric and kumkum were kept in the pit where the Bodrai was installed, along with Vedic chanting.

Villagers participated in this event with lot of enthusiasm. The women of the village were offered rice and cloths, while women from the neighbouring villages were given turmeric and kumkum. Sarpanch of the village Swarupa, Moinabad MPP Nakshatram Jayanth, upa-sarpanch Sudhakar Reddy, MPTCs and others were present on the occasion.
