Candle rally held for Dr Priyanka Reddy
A candle rally was taken out by the members of voluntary ornganisations Global Glorious Ministries and Helping Hand here at Ambedkar Nagar Basti on Saturday night. A large number of women and children participated in the candle rally.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives of the voluntary organisations said that while Dr Priyanka Reddy had given treatment to several animals, she may not have expected that she would be murdered by human animals.
Demanding severe punishment to the offenders, they suggested the state government to provide mental counselling to children above 14 years to know their mental condition and behaviour.
Similarly, training should be given to girls on ways to protect themselves in such a scenario. They urged the government to take necessary measures to prevent delay by police in handling emergency cases. Actress Alekhya Angel, Dr Tejaswini, Dr Dasari Glory Anand, Mathaiah, Nagalakshmi, Vani, Nagamani and others participated in the candle rally.
