Urges all sections of people to participate in the ‘Million March’

Hyderabad: Secretary of CITU Saibaba demanded that the state government get itself ready for talks with RTC JAC and stop lying to High Court on RTC matters. On Friday, CITU state committee staged a protest against the adamant attitude of CM KCR on RTC strike and his burnt effigy.

Speaking during the protest, Saibaba criticised the state government for not taking humanitarian approach even after 35 days of strike and several RTC employees sacrificing their lives.

He condemned repressive actions against leaders of RTC JAC, political parties and labour unions to prevent them from attending various programmes to intensify the strike from Saturday. It was unfortunate that even after adverse comments made by the state High Court against the government, there was no change in the hostile attitude of the state government, he said.

He urged the government officials to stand on the side of people and support the strike. He appealed people to extend their support to the striking employees and protest the undemocratic approach of the government. While the RTC JAC has come forward to participate in talks, the government has not called employees for discussions, he said.

Saibaba said various trade unions, political parties and people's associations have supported the just demands of RTC employees and protect RTC, he said. He urged people to participate in 'Chalo Tank Bund' to be held on Saturday to extend their solidarity with the striking employees. Among those who participated in the protest include G Venkatesh, S Rama, Paladugu Bhaskar, Eshwar Rao, Vani and others.
