Osmania University: The valedictory function of the special nine-week course in English Language Proficiency for 39 officials from Sudan was organised at The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad, on Wednesday.

Dr B Bala Bhaskar, Joint Director (West Asia and North Africa), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), was the chief guest of the event. Prof E Suresh Kumar, the Vice Chancellor of EFLU, presided over the function.

Addressing the participants, Dr Bala Bhaskar threw light on the history and amicable relations shared between India and Sudan. He congratulated EFLU for garnering excellent feedback from within and outside the country and for conducting such capacity-building programmes. He reiterated India's resolve in sharing technology and knowledge with rest of the world for the welfare of humanity.

Prof Suresh Kumar announced that a gymnasium and a special food court for the participants of the ITP would be made available shortly. Congratulating the participants on successful completion of the programme, he urged them to continue practising the skills they have acquired at the university.

Prof. Roopa Suzana, Chief Coordinator, International Training Programmes (ITP), thanked the VC for his support. The participants appreciated the quality of the course, hospitality extended by the university, and the rich cultural diversity of India.
