Deeksha Divas celebrated at Malkajgiri
Commemorating 10 years of the day on which the CM KCR started his indefinite hunger strike during Telangana agitation, local TRS leaders celebrated ‘Deeksha Divas’ on Friday. Malkajgiri circle TRS president Pitla Srinvias and secretary GSV Satish Kumar organised the programme.

Senior TRS leaders V K Mahesh, Baddam Parushuram Reddy and others attended the programme. Baddam Parushuram described the day as a historic day for Telangana. It is on this day the CM KCR risked his life in an effort to achieve Telangana state, he said.
Describing the day as a turning point in the Telangana agitation, the fast had forced the central government to declare the state, he said. He said that only KCR can achieve 'Bangaru Telangana.'
Corporators Jagadish Goud, Sridevi, TRS leaders Jithender Reddy, Niranjan, Upender, Mohan Reddy, K Lakshman Rao, R Narsing, Bikshapthi, Praveen, M Jagadish Goud and others participated in the programme.
