Early bird scheme on property tax ends today
Today is the last day to avail of the 5% discount on the payment of property tax.
Hyderabad: Today is the last day to avail of the 5% discount on the payment of property tax. GHMC has received Rs 25 crore on Monday alone under the Early bird scheme of the current fiscal year. The total amount of Rs 437.75 crore was collected from early bird scheme last year and its Rs 401 crore this year, so far.
GHMC has planned to procure large amounts in the Early bird scheme. It provided 5% discount for those who pay their property tax by April 30. Commissioner Dana Kishore aimed at collecting more than Rs 437.75 crore, the amount collected in the Early bird scheme in 2018-19.
The 5% rebate will be only on 2019-20 financial year for property tax payers. Dana Kishore said that the property tax payers can pay their tax at the GHMC's citizen service centres, E-Seva, Me-Seva and also using My GHMC app.
