Based on the instructions from the state government, officials of Agriculture department and local police conducted raids on various fertiliser shops in Patancheru on Monday. The raids were conducted to check the supply of spurious seeds and quality of fertilisers sold through the shops.

Speaking to media persons, Agriculture Officer Usha said that they had conducted the raids to check the quality of seeds and fertilisers to be sold for the upcoming Kharif season. CI Naresh, who participated in the raid, checked all the records in shops. The officials checked receipt bills and stock details. They also enquired on the stocks of Urea bags maintained in their godowns.
