The birthday of TRS working president K Tarakarama Rao was celebrated in a novel way in Chitrapuri Colony, Khajaguda, on Wednesday by Kadambari Foundation which distributed cheques for Rs 65,000 to ailing cine workers.

Party general secretary Gattu Ramachandra Rao and MAA president Naresh attended the birthday celebrations and handed over the cheques in response to KTR's call to gift a smile challenge.
They later cut a cake. Rao stated that holding of the mega health camp and a blood donation camp in the colony by foundation chairman Kiran and handing over of the cheques for meeting the medical expenses of cine workers were laudable.
The TRS leader observed that KTR's thought that celebration of birthday did not mean cutting of cakes and handover of bouquets but bringing light in the lives of the poor was worthy of emulation. Among those present at the celebrations were foundation members Vinod Bala and Mahananda Reddy.
