Garbage dumped recklessly
Residents and commuters of Pot Market, Secunderabad, are facing a serious problem.
Secunderabad: Residents and commuters of Pot Market, Secunderabad, are facing a serious problem. Piles of garbage are at every nook and corner, and they include plastic bags , bottles, cement blocks, sand, broken tiles, cardboard cartons. Adding to the chaos is haphazard parking of vehicles on either side of the road, due to which passerby are facing difficulty to move on this stretch.
Vikram Jain, one of the local people, said that especially nearby eating stalls and vendors are stealthily throwing the waste in polythene bags near the road, which are spilling over on the road. He also said that they informed the authorities about the unattended garbage at the roadside. But, no action has been taken by the authorities yet. Officials should ensure timely removal garbage so that people can discard waste in dust bins and garbage bins only, they pleaded.
