Malkajgiri: Sumadhura Arta Academy, Anu Sisters and Rangamani Charitable Trust organised the 12-hour music programme commemorating the Telugu legendary singer Ghantasala in Brindavan Garden function hall at Anandbagh crossroads on Thursday. Noted Telugu movie singer P Susheela was given Ghantasala Award 2019 on the occasion. A large number of music lovers gathered on the occasion to enjoy the music programme.

Speaking after receiving the award, P Susheela said she was pleased to see a large number of music lovers waiting for her. She said she came from a long distance but forgot her tiredness after seeing her fans. Speaking about Ghantasala, she recalled her memories with the legend and said that he sang difficult songs with ease.

After the presentation of the award, Padmasri Dr Shobharaju, censor board member Sanjay Kishore, former Deputy Director General of All India Radio Adithya Prasad, Kamala Ashwathama, Lion Dr A Vijay Kumar, RK Paul, Ramakrishna, Rajendra Prasad, singers G Ramam and Padma were felicitated. Organiser MV Raghavacharya, Palvancha Anuradha, Vijayapuri Revathi, Sridevi, Vinod Babu, VLN Chariyar, and a large number of music lovers attended the programme.
