Hyderabad: The GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore's suggestion to techies to stay in offices till 7 pm to avoid traffic snarls has not gone down well with the people, especially employees working in the Hi-Tec City.

Social media was abuzz with employees especially from Gachibowli to Cyber Towers, Jubliee Hills to Madhapur venting their ire. "It would be appreciated if flyovers were built. Instead of asking employees to stay put in office," said Santhosh, Senior Processing Associate, Wipro, Mindspace.

"I work for more than 12 hours. All though my login time is 6 am my cab picks me by 4 am, though my logout time is 2:30 pm I must and should wait at least two to three hours in the cab to reach home.

Already we are burdened with sharing journey which takes lot of time from our days and respected Commissioner suggesting us to wait till 7pm in the office is unacceptable. We pay taxes and need better roads," says Lakshmi Dass, Service Operations Associate, Accenture, Kothaguda.

"We are not working in a government sector to just follow the particular timings to take a note we never allowed to stay indoors after office as other shift staff shall occupy our places, due to badly maintained roads and improper infrastructure in the city traffic issue is still a concern," says Vinay Vajrala, Senior Process Executive, Google.

Forum Mall to Cyber Towers there is a bride which is blocked for four to five hours due to little drizzle. I request Dana sir to look after such issues and find out solutions as soon as possible, he added.
