Macha Bolarum: The Ganesh temple road at Macha Bolaram has become an unauthorised dumping yard. This stretch of the road is filled with garbage which is emitting a foul smell.

As there is a vegetable market nearby, vendors are throwing vegetable waste which is attracting a lot of pigs and dogs, thus, inconveniencing people over here, says Venkat Ranga Reddy, a resident, while speaking to The Hans India here on Friday.

Several complains were made to the concerned authorities about the unattended garbage and also to remove the trash, as it has become a big health hazard and also adversely affecting the environment, but no action was taken yet. Irresponsible dumping of garbage here has become a major cause of concern for locals and commuters due to the foul smell and increase of rodents and strays.

The locals accuse the cleaning staff of being irresponsible and negligent in clearing the garbage which is piling up and is becoming a serious health hazard for the locals.

"The dump is spread on the road and the cattle eat the waste blocking the road avoiding vehicles to pass by. We have informed the authorities many times and told them to shift the dump yard far ahead from the lane.

There is a temple nearby and the foul smell which is being emitted near the temple is ruining the peaceful positive vibes. We have to intimate the workers a couple of times and only after that they show up. This is becoming a serious issue day-by-day and if it is not taken seriously, the whole lane will be full of garbage waste."
