GHMC needs to first set its house in order

Even as the MAUD Minister directed the zonal commissioners to conduct a special drive to collect all the scrap and disposable items like broken furniture, mattress and unused electronic goods from every individual house, in its own backyard, lies huge amount of scrap.
There is waste material and unused items left in the GHMC compound. Many people sit in the garden area in GHMC compound which is near the place where the material is kept.
"I cannot fathom how the civic body can issue directives to people before it could clean its own surroundings," said Rama Rao, a retired schoolteacher who was visiting a bank in the GHMC premises.
