GHMC to hold summer camps from May 6
The GHMC is all set to start their summer coaching camps from May 6 to June 16 for boys and girls under age of 6 to 16 in 45 disciplines in the early hours of the day (6 am to 8 am). GHMC says they will be conducted at approximately 760 centres in six zones in GHMC limits.
Hyderabad: The GHMC is all set to start their summer coaching camps from May 6 to June 16 for boys and girls under age of 6 to 16 in 45 disciplines in the early hours of the day (6 am to 8 am). GHMC says they will be conducted at approximately 760 centres in six zones in GHMC limits.
As many as 826 numbers of coaches have been engaged to train children in various disciplines. The GHMC is also roping in Olympians, international, national and senior state players to visit the camps and boost the sportive spirit of the participants.
According to GHMC, it offers its sports infrastructure to sportsmen of the city and also for state sports associations – both for training and competitions. GHMC provides sports infrastructure like well-equipped sports complexes, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, open stadiums, indoor stadiums to foster sportsmanship among the youth by helping hone their skills.
GHMC's existing infrastructure includes 521 playgrounds, 7 swimming pools, 17 sports complexes, 11 roller skating rinks, 5 tennis courts. GHMC also organizes advance coaching camps for the selected trainees during the Summer Coaching Camps in select games.
Later, these players will form the teams of the GHMC in different games to showcase their talent in local competitions. For enrollment in summer camps, interested persons are advised to do online booking at www.ghmc.gov.in/sports
