More than 1,000 veterans including senior retired officers and veer naris hailing from twin cities of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy district of Telangana took out a rally organised by 1 EME Centre at Secunderabad on Wednesday, under the aegis of Headquarters, Dakshin Bharat Area.

Secunderabad: More than 1,000 veterans including senior retired officers and veer naris hailing from twin cities of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy district of Telangana took out a rally organised by 1 EME Centre at Secunderabad on Wednesday, under the aegis of Headquarters, Dakshin Bharat Area.

Major General N Srinivas Rao, General Officer Commanding, Telangana and Andhra Sub Area (TASA), explained the various IT initiatives of TASA ECHS like doctors appointment app and other automation software for the benefit of veterans.

A number of stalls from various welfare agencies and organisations of the Army and civil administration including Ex-Servicemen Grievances Cell, Recruitment Information Centre, Udchalo Counter, Banking Awareness Counter (SBI and Andhra Bank) were also set up at the venue to facilitate and educate the Veterans on various new welfare schemes and initiatives. A medical camp with doctors from MH Secunderabad as well as ECHS Polyclinic was also organised on the occasion,
