The Green challenge thrown by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Rajya Sabha member Joginipalli Santosh Kumar touched three crore mark in planting saplings across Telangana.
Hyderabad: The Green challenge thrown by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Rajya Sabha member Joginipalli Santosh Kumar touched three crore mark in planting saplings across Telangana.
The idea is now being taken up by Telugus in differenct countries such as USA, South Africa and other countries. TRS NRI co-ordinator Mahesh Bigala planted saplings in America and nominated Gurrala Nagaraju (TRS NRI South Africa President) the latter accepted the challenge .
TRS NRI South Africa organisation members and all Telugu community members participated in the Green challenge programme and planted 4 saplings around the Dream Hill International School, Midrand Johannesburg and distributed 60 saplings to the students to plant each one at their premises.Nagaraju Gurrala nominated few people in South Africa to spread the Green Challenge and many are now planting saplings.
