Golconda: Army Public School-Golconda observed the 74th anniversary of Hiroshima Day on Tuesday. Reminding students about the dangers of nuclear warfare and asking them to draw lessons from horrific past for a peaceful future, a special peace assembly was organised to commemorate the event.

Students presented the poetic narration of the entire sequence of Hiroshima/Nagasaki nuclear attack and the wrath faced by the population. Graphically depicting the horror of atom bomb, the school students reiterated their resolve for peace and a nuclear-free world.

The children spread the message through display of various slogans, banners and placards opposing nuclear war and advocating world peace. The act culminated with students paying their respects to the victims, saluting the spirit of survivors and pledging to work for a nuclear free safe world. A quiz competition was also organised on this occasion.
