HMWSSB, GHMC staff conduct Swachh tour
Water Board GM Krishna appealed to the public to cooperate with the officialdom to make Hyderabad a Swachh city.
Hyderabad: 0fficers of the HMWSSB and GHMC on Friday went round several areas in the City appealing to the people to become active partners in the 'Saaf Hydeabad and Shaandaar Hyderabad' campaign.
Water Board GM Krishna appealed to the public to cooperate with the officialdom to make Hyderabad a Swachh city. He stressed importance of the residents not wasting water, not to allow water flow on roads, when some parts of the twin cities and their outskirts were experiencing severe shortage. In view of this there was a need for rationed use of water.
In his address, GHMC UDC Officer Ramulu advised people not to dump garbage on roads and transport it in the designated autos after segregation and also to keep their surroundings clean and green. Among those who took part in the visit were HMWSSB Manager Ramana, GHMC Swachhdooths Manasa, Swaroopa, Lakshmi, Shanti, TRS leaders Hamsaraj, Praveen Kumar, Vasanth, Mahesh, Ravichandar, Anjamma.
