A group of party workers vandalized the BJP office in Kukatpally by damaging window glass panes and tearing the posters in a protest that their leader K Mahender was denied ticket.

The party workers raised slogans against Union Minister of Home affairs Kishan Reddy and party Medchal district in-charge C Harish Reddy for refusing ticket to Mahender. Mahender questioned the party representatives as to how they can refuse to give him a ticket who was working in the party for several years and accord ticket to another person who joined from another party recently.

Mahender continued to say that he had served as councillor earlier and had also taken party in corporation election. He blamed Harish Reddy for conspiring against him to deny him the ticket. He also alleged that the party has sold out the ticket for Rs 30 lakh.

On learning the BJP workers creating ruckus at the Kukatpallyl office, the police rushed to the place and pacified the workers. Security has also been tightened up the office to prevent any untoward incident.
