Hyderabad: The employees and workers of the Gram Panchayats called off their 34-day long agitation and decided to join duties from Wednesday. Leaders of Telangana Employees and Workers Gram Panchayat Joint Action Committee (JAC) held discussions with Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao who assured that all problems would be sorted out in a phased manner. The Minister promised that he would take up the problems related to the financial matters to the notice of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and would resolve them as early as possible.
On the assurance given by the Minister, the JAC leaders have decided to call off their ongoing agitation and to resume duties from Wednesday.
