A man was awarded 20 years rigorous imprisonment for raping five-year-old girl in Golconda.
The Nampally metropolitan sessions court judge, K Sunitha pronounced the judgement convicting the accused and also imposed Rs 4,000 fine.
According to the police, the accused, Azmath Khan (26) who was working in a welding shop sexually assaulted the girl on July 29, 2018. The Golconda police then registered a case against him under Prevention of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The court also imposed six-year impsrionment if the accused failed to pay the fine.
