With 51,154 voters, the Hyder Nagar ward (123) that comes under Kukatpally Circle covers major areas that include Brindavan Colony, NRASA Colony, Asrraju Nagar, Alluri Seetaramaraju Nagar and Hyder Nagar.

This unreserved division is being represented by Janaki Rama Raju since 2016 after he won on the TRS ticket with 9,424 votes against the nearest rival Ranga Raya Prasad Vakalapudi (TDP) who received 8,986 votes. The candidates contesting in this ward for the upcoming GHMC election are Velaga Srinivas (BJP), Kodali Ravi Kumar (TDP) and Seetha Rama Raju (INC) and this time N Srinivasa Rao (TRS) would be contesting candidate.

Hyder Nagar residents are daily struggling hard due to lack of basic amenities including bad condition of roads, lack of stormwater drains, lack of underground sewage system, irregular water supply, malfunction of streetlights, in proper garbage segregation and pathetic condition of Hyder Nagar lake.

A major concern of this ward is irregular supply of water. Only once in three days only, the residents are getting water supply and main reason is said to be lack of booster pumps. Another issue is bad condition of roads. Some internal lanes were dug up for laying sewerage pipeline but were not levelled after works were completed. Apart from this, garbage is dumped here and there and there is no proper sanitation management and also there is no proper sewage system.

Issued expressed by the locals. "Another main problem in our colony is that there is no proper garbage segregation and also all most all the roads in the ward needs re- carpeting and also garbage is been dumped on the roadside, it is not been regularly cleaned by the GHMC sanitation workers," said Suresh Rao, a resident of Hyder Nagar.

"There is regular supply of water and many times we have complained to the concern official about this but no response we have received and also apart from that the Hyder Nagar lake is in very bad condition due to that locals are facing problems , as many times we have asked the local corporator Janaki Rama Raju and GHMC but no action was taken yet," said H Srinivas , a resident of Hyder Nagar.
