Kshatriya Rajputs hold Dasara Sammelan
A grand ‘Dasara Sammelan’ was organised here on Monday to mark the platinum jubilee celebration of the Kshatriya Rajput Association.
Kacheguda: A grand 'Dasara Sammelan' was organised here on Monday to mark the platinum jubilee celebration of the Kshatriya Rajput Association.
Association president T Prem Singh told the gathering that the celebrations were being organised every year by Rajputs settled in Telangana. He said the association was taking up social service activities, like running health camps.
On the occasion, Singh handed over pensions to 150 widows, scholarships and 'Pritaba Puraskars' to 200 poor students who secured 80% marks in Intermediate and degree exams. He presented mementos to those who gave a boost to the association.
He called for unity among the Rajputs, while urging them to provide good education to their children as education could bring a social change. Singh announced that the platinum jubilee celebrations will be organised in November on a grand scale.
Among those present included association's representatives Ravi Thakur, Rajender Singh, Surender Singh, Ajay Singh, Shoba Singh Singar, Nagesh Rana, Ravikiran Singh, and M Surender Singh.
