Land-grabbers assault revenue officials
Alleged land-grabbers on Friday severely assaulted several Revenue Department officials and staff who had gone to demolish unauthorised structures in Gajularamaram village following the instructions of Tahsildar Goutham Kumar.

The land-grabbers included Shaik Moulana, Syed Jaleel, Maistri Pasha, Shadul, Chand Pasha and Nafeez Begum. The officials assaulted were VRO Shyan Kumar, local, VRA and 'Girdavar' Umamaheshwar Goud. The staff acted on a complaint received on WhatsApp by the Tahsildar.
Goutham warned that strong action would be taken against the land-grabbers. He said non-bailable cases under Sections 332, 341, read with 34 IPC, and Section (3) of PDPS Act have been registered by the Jagadgirigutta police.
The Tahsildar and local CI K Srinivasulu visited the spot where the incident occurred and demolished the illegal constructions. A government notice was put up at the spot. The tahsildar warned land-grabbers that attacks on the department staff would not be tolerated.
