Qutbullapur: Responding to a news item carried by The Hans India on July 3 on the illegal road by a real-estate venture owner in government lands, Kiran, a resident of Gajula Ramaram, complained to Lokayukta on the issue. Ironically, no action was initiated by the authorities concerned.

Speaking to THI, Kiran said that he was vexed with the inaction from the authorities concerned and filed a complaint with Lokayukta on the issue. He said that encroachments of government lands have increased in the recent days and said he suspects connivance of government officials with land sharks. He alleged that government lands in survey numbers 12, 13, 19, 100, and 329 of Devender Nagar in Gajula Ramaram limits have been encroached but revenue officials have taken no action against the land sharks.

A 30-ft nala from Pedda Cheruvu to Chittaramma temple through survey number 100, with a length of 1 km, has disappeared due to the encroachments, he alleged. He said he reached Lokayukta to complain on sale of illegal plots near Pedda Cheruvu bund which was intended for greenery and alleged tampering of boundaries by revenue surveyor and tahsildar. He said he has evidence to prove the irregularities by the government officials.
