The RTC Joint Action Committee blamed management and government policies for the corporation being in losses.
Boduppal: The RTC Joint Action Committee blamed management and government policies for the corporation being in losses. It staged a demonstration in front of RTC depot here on Monday. They criticised the state government for imposing all kinds of taxes on RTC while other states were exempting them.
"About 7,000 employees have retired in last six years. But, these vacant posts are not filled yet. Because of extra work hours, the workers health is deteriorating. We demand merging of RTC in the state government. We would strive to save RTC and workers rights," they added.
Telangana Mazdoor Union (TMU) Hyderabad Zonal President Malla Reddy, Employees Union Hyderabad Zonal President Muralidhar, Staff and Workers Federation leaders Satti Reddy, Supervisor Association President Narahari, Ismail, Harikishan, Ramulu, Kapil, Dayanand and others were present.
