Monsoon relief work at a brisk pace at Malkajgiri
K Venugopal, Malkajgiri circle GHMC Deputy Commissioner, toured Chandragiri Colony, Shirdinagar and other colonies, where water logging was reported due to heavy downpour on Tuesday night, and monitored rescue and relief works on Wednesday.

As part of relief works, the monsoon rescue teams identified water logging spots and drained the rainwater using motor pumps.
Heavy rains on Tuesday resulted in water logging at Hanumanpet colony roads and monsoon rescue team arrived at the spot and pumped out the stagnated water on roads. The Deputy Commissioner instructed GHMC staff to focus on low-lying areas and take necessary measures to ensure that water is not stagnated in the areas. Deputy commissioner was accompanied by GHMC engineering and municipal staff and others.
