The Jatara of Nalla Pochamma at the outskirts of Borancha village, on the banks of the Manjeera river in Manur mandal, commenced on Thursday with a grand note. The Jatara is known as second biggest fair after Yedupayala Jatara in Telangana.

The fair will be held up to June 20. Endowment Officer of the temple Mohan Reddy said that all arrangements have been made for the 43-day fair. The Jatara will be held on three days in a week (Thursday, Sunday, Tuesday) for seven weeks.

Devotees from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra throng the fair during these days. Special motors have been arranged for drinking water and bathing facilities are provided near the Manjeera river.

Devotees spend a night here. They prepare bonams here and offer to the Goddess. Shelters are also provided for the visitors. Temple is decked up for the festivities. Temporary shops during the fair are also set up.
