Tukaram Amgoth, a cadet from NCC Directorate for AP & Telangana has scaled Mount Everest. He started from Nepal on April 6 and ascended the summit on May 22 early morning. Amgoth was a cadet from 2015 to 2017.

Secunderabad: Tukaram Amgoth, a cadet from NCC Directorate for AP & Telangana has scaled Mount Everest. He started from Nepal on April 6 and ascended the summit on May 22 early morning. Amgoth was a cadet from 2015 to 2017.

Cadet Tukaram Amgoth attended Basic Mountaineering Course at NIM, Uttarkashi, through NCC and secured 'A' grade and was further selected for Advance Mountaineering Course.

He attended the Advance Course at JIM, Jammu, and secured Best Technique Award from the institution. In 2016, Brigadier Abbay (Commandant, High Altitude Warfare School) encouraged him to scale Mt Everest from the South Col route and from then on he made up his mind to scale Mt Everest.

In June 2016, Amgoth scaled Mt Norbo (17,145 ft) along with the ACTS team on the Telangana Formation day and hoisted Telangana Flag. In June 2017, he scaled Mt Rudragaira Peak (19,091 ft) on Telangana Formation Day in adverseclimatic conditions.

Amgoth is the only person who could complete the summit in his team. In the same year (July 2017) he also scaled Mt Stok Kangri (20,187 ft) along with four more North Indian friends who had sponsored him.Thereafter, he scaled the highest mountain peak of Africa Mt Kilimanjaro (19,340 ft) in Jul 2018 and hoisted India's national flag atop the mountain.
