Officials told to solve issues at stadium
Local corporator Alakunta Saraswathi on Thursday visited the Prof Jayashankar Municipal Stadium following complaints of leakage of rainwater in rooms causing inconvenience to sports persons.
Tarnaka: Local corporator Alakunta Saraswathi on Thursday visited the Prof Jayashankar Municipal Stadium following complaints of leakage of rainwater in rooms causing inconvenience to sports persons. GHMC AE Venkatesh, Electrical DE Maheshwar accompanied her. The corporator interacted with sportspersons about their problems and directed the officials to take remedial steps.
Saraswathi suggested that immediate temporary repairs be taken up by GHMC so that thousands of sportspersons who practise in the stadium do not face hardships. She directed the GHMC sanitation, electrical and other wings to take up regular inspection of the stadium. She asked officials to prepare a report on the problems of the stadium. Among those who accompanied Saraswathi were local TRS leaders Mallikarjun, Santhu, Sunil Mudiraj, Rajesh, Vittal and Yoganand.
