Open plot turns into a dump yard
Suraram: An empty plot near Suraram Colony has turned into an unofficial dumping ground and the plot is piled with domestic waste. Overpowering stench emanates from the plot, this issue had become a serious concern for the locals over here. The pigs and dog menace has increased at the open plot because of the food waste and other domestic waste, which is causing inconvenience to the local over here. Satish Kumar, a local, said that for the past few years, the open plot has been dumped with garbage, cement blocks, sand, and broken tiles. “We have informed the authorities concerned about the unattended garbage at the open plot. The stench and various health hazards have become a serious concern over here. Many locals over here have taken the issue to the notice of authorities, but no action has been taken yet.”
