LB Nagar: As part of its child-friendly policing initiative, the Rachakonda police is organising a two-day summer camp for children on May 18 and 19. Open to both boys and girls aged between 10 years and 18 years, the camp will be held at J-Valley Resorts in Thatti Annaram in Nagole.

During the summer camp, there will be activities seeking awareness on SHE Teams, traffic and cybercrime with demonstrations, said an official press release.

Parents staying in Rachakonda Police Commissionerate limits have been requested to send their children to the summer camp which officials said would be focused mainly on awareness and education.

According to the Rachakonda police, awareness will be provided on a variety of issues including crime against women, child abuse, child marriages, domestic violence, human trafficking, cybercrime and eve-teasing through short films and practical demo.

The timings for the summer camp are from 10 am to 5 pm and registrations will be accepted on May 16 and 17 at the helpdesk located in LB Nagar Police Commissioner Camp Office at Alkapuri. No registration fee will be charged. The participants will be provided with lunch and snacks at the venue and will also be awarded with certificates signed by Mahesh M Bhagwat, Police Commissioner, Rachakonda, on the last day.
