Ramanna Kunta Lake facelift works to begin
A work order was passed by the state government to SCB on Friday for the beautification and restoration of Ramanna Kunta.
Secunderabad: A work order was passed by the state government to SCB on Friday for the beautification and restoration of Ramanna Kunta. The long pending issue of improvement of sewerage line and sewerage outlets of Ramanna Kunta Lake was delayed due to the fund crunch.
Ramakrishna, the vice-president of SCB, said, "At the recent review meeting with the working president of TRS KT Rama Rao, the SCB officials proposed improvement of Ramanna Kunta lake and also requested that state government provide an amount of Rs 2.5 crore."
The state government has directed the Metropolitan Authority Commissioner to take over the work. HMDA would release the funds for the improvement of the lake.
Also, the amount of 80 lakh is sanctioned by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) to HMWS&SB for carrying on the sewage work and later Rs 1.7 lakh would be sanctioned for the beautification of the bund.
