Residents irked over encroachment at Old Alwal

Alwal: The construction of an illegal structure at Citizen Colony, Old Alwal, has been giving nightmares to locals and also leading to traffic chaos. The residents are also unhappy as the thoroughfare would be disturbed.

"As the whole lane has been taken over by encroachers with construction material being dumped on the pavement of the road, it is becoming difficult for locals to walk through for the past few weeks. It is also causing inconvenience to motorists plying through the road," said, Ajay, a resident of Alwal. The locals over here have complained to the concern officials about the issue but no action has been initiated yet.
