Road caves in, plunges traffic into chaos
Speaking to The Hans India here on Tuesday, a local resident said, “The heavy rains and the overflowing drains have made the road cave-in and it has become very risky for the commuters, especially for the bikers.
Pragathi Nagar: Due to heavy rainfall and overflowing drains on Monday, the road to Kamalapuri Colony Park near Pragathi Nagar caved in and driving on it became extremely difficult. Many residents are taking detours to reach their workplace. Apart from bad roads, it is the delay in re-carpeting them that is causing inconvenience to the residents.
Speaking to The Hans India here on Tuesday, a local resident said, "The heavy rains and the overflowing drains have made the road cave-in and it has become very risky for the commuters, especially for the bikers.
The caved in part is not visible until you get very close to it. The rider has to apply brakes quickly in order to avoid damaging his bike. It's been a couple of days but the civic authorities remained indifferent. We appeal to the authorities concerned to repair the road before any unfortunate incident takes place."
