Saifabad: The government employee and teachers' unions on Sunday staged a protest here before the Collectorate office demanding withdrawal of implementation of contributory pension system (CPS).

They said that implementing two different types of pension systems for employees working in the same service is anti-constitutional. They expressed concern that employees would lose social and financial security due to CPS system.

While the CM of AP, Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, has decided to abolish the CPS, the CM of Telangana, KCR has decided to go ahead with it, ignoring employees' interests, they alleged.

The government which claims itself as employee-friendly has failed to understand issues and problems of its employees. Union leader Tahir Ali said that employees would continue to fight against the State government until CPS was abolished. Among those who were present on the occasion included union leaders Krishna, Ashok, Darshan Goud, Muneer Pasha and others.
