Bahadurpura: A preventive detention order was executed on a 22-year old, Mohammed Ibrahim for 'committing series of offences' and was lodged in Central Prison, Chanchalguda, the police informed on Tuesday.

According to City police, the Commissioner issued preventive detention order against Mohammed Ibrahim, a private employee and resident of Kings Colony, Shastripuram, under Rajendranagar mandal.

The rowdy element of Kalapathar police station, the accused Mohammed Ibrahim along with his associates committed a series of offences including attempt to commit murders, hurt and criminal intimidation in an organized manner in a single day on May 1 in the limits of Hyderabad Police Commissionerate.

Ibrahim committed 12 offences and has been creating widespread fear and panic among the general public and acting in a manner prejudicial to the maintenance of public order apart from disturbing the peace, tranquillity and social harmony in the society.

"Kalapathar Police made strenuous efforts and arrested the accused Mohammed Ibrahim on May 3 and remanded him to judicial custody. The preventive detention order was executed on him on October 17 and he is now lodged in Central Prison, Chanchalguda," said police officials.
