Jeedimetla: The residents of Apurupa Colony are suffering overflowing of sewage for the past one month. The sewage water in the area spreading on the road, making it difficult for commuters and locals to walk on this stretch.

The locals of this area have complained to authorities concerned several times, but the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials are accused of ignoring the problem and taking no concrete steps till date.

Abhinav, a local, said that the sewerage water has been flowing into the road for over a month and also posing problems to the passers-by. Due to extensive water logging, mosquito menace has increased in this area and there is also foul smell emanating from it, he said.

The officials, the local allege, are taking the issue lightly and not taking any measures to stop the overflow of sewage and improve the drainage in the area.
