Shaadi-Kalyana cheques to be distributed soon at Rajendranagar
Time has come for the beneficiaries of Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak Schemes in Rajendranagar to receive their cheques, for which they have been waiting eagerly for a long time. However, the dates are yet to be finalised for the distribution of financial aid.

The MRO office is gearing up to distribute the cheques among the beneficiaries very soon, for which signatures of the applicants are being collected in advance to avoid any inconveniency on the day of the programme.
Some cheques of backlog applications submitted last year also were sanctioned and would be distributed together with those that were granted this year. Cheque distribution will go on for two days in a phased manner.
It is said that the sanctioning amount in the cheques varies according to the year of sanction. This means the beneficiaries will receive the amount as per the provisions promulgated for that particular time.
These cheques include previous sanctioning amount of Rs 51,000 before it was enhanced to Rs 75,000 and, later, to the present sanctioning amount of Rs 1,00,116.
According to official data from MRO Rajendranagar, a total of 939 applications received under Shaadi Mubarak Scheme in 2019, of which 71 have been pending. The MRO office received a total of 326 cheques, and 242 applications are kept pending.
Similarly, the applications received under Kalyana Lakshmi scheme stand at 458 and only 8 are kept in pendency. A total of 173 cheques have been received so far while 123 cheques are awaited.
When asked about the date of distribution of cheques, the MRO said that, "the dates are not yet decided but soon we will intimate about the proposed programme after putting in place all necessary arrangements. The process of acquiring signatures has been completed and soon we will select a date to carry out distribution of cheques among beneficiaries."
